Once back in the office, your dentist should be able to determine the true cause of what is bothering you and take care of it. It’s possible that what’s paining you is a nerve problem or something affecting the pulp of your tooth. In these cases, a root canal might be needed, or an implant might be used instead.
Ultimately, taking care of your teeth is only part of the solution. Your dentist can work wonders, but you’ll have to be responsible, too – brush, floss, and set up a dental appointment whenever you can.
